When is NewsMatch?

The NewsMatch matching gift campaign begins on November 1 and ends on December 31. NewsMatch will only match individual contributions made in that timeframe, though local matches can be secured any time in the campaign calendar year.

NewsMatch 2026 applications are closed. Applications for 2027 will open in April 2027.

Training and learning experiences are currently available to INN members and will run throughout the year and the duration of the campaign.

Main fund match caps, partner fund opportunities, and goal-based bonuses for the 2026 campaign were announced in September and newsrooms will be notified if there are any changes as INN continues to fundraise. Learn more.
