If I’m eligible for several match funds from NewsMatch, do I have to raise the total value of all those funds to receive the full match?
Match funds run concurrently, not consecutively. This means you only need to raise the amount of your largest match fund in eligible donations to unlock all of your match funds.
That said, how you promote them is up to you; you can highlight each fund individually, promote the total match cap, or emphasize multiplied impact.
Example (with main match):
If you’re eligible for $15,000 from the main fund, $3,000 from the rural partner fund, and $2,500 from the education partner fund, you only need to raise $15,000 in eligible donations to unlock all $20,500 in match funds.

Example (without main match):
If you’re eligible for $5,000 from the rural fund, $5,000 from the philanthropic access fund, $5,000 from the education fund, and $2,250 from a regional partner fund, you only need to raise $5,000 in eligible donations to unlock $17,250 in match funds.
