How much will be matched?

The 2025 match cap is $12,000.

The main fund campaign match cap is the maximum amount that a news organization with annual expenses under $1 million will receive from NewsMatch. The match cap is calculated based on the size of the NewsMatch fund and the number of participating organizations with operating expenses under $1 million.

The individual donation cap is the maximum amount that will be matched of each individual donation made to an organization. NewsMatch main and partner funds will match any donation by an individual up to this individual donation cap amount. The individual donation cap is $1,000 per donor over the course of the campaign.
