Knight Foundation, Facebook Journalism Project, Google News Initiative, Abrams Foundation, Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust, Inasmuch Foundation, Independence Public Media Foundation, Jonathan Logan Family Foundation, Rita Allen Foundation, Natasha and Dirk Ziff, Present Progressive Fund at Schwab Charitable, S. Dozens of local and issue-based funders are also secured by newsrooms themselves, increasing the pool of match funds during their year-end campaign.

The Miami Foundation
Established in 1967, The Miami Foundation is the foundation for people who are passionate about Miami. They have partnered with individuals, families, and corporations who have created more than 1,000 personalized, philanthropic funds. Thanks to them and their generosity, the Foundation has awarded $350 million in grants. Today, they manage close to $350 million to address the community’s needs now for a more resilient tomorrow.
NewsMatch is supported through the Fund for Nonprofit News, an open collaborative fund at The Miami Foundation. The Foundation oversees the fiscal administration of NewsMatch funds. The fund is still accepting contributions from foundations and donors who want a simple and powerful way to support local news and investigative journalism.
